She is also an Expert Advisor for the European Innovation Council Accelerator of the European Commission. Dr. Irène Kilubi is a university lecturer in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship and a sought-after speaker at conferences and events.

What drives you to get GenXYZ to connect to the needs of today’s society?
There is a lot of talk about the future of our world, and GenXYZ is still the future. They are the ones that will be driving our planet into the future and creating new opportunities for society. When they get the right message and know how to take care of themselves, they can build a safe community. This will lead to a prosperous future for all. This is the reason that drives me to encourage GenXYZ to connect with the needs of today’s society.
There is no room in our world for anyone that isn’t contributing to the future. That’s why I am dedicated to helping create a society where everyone can have a voice and be heard. With my help, we can make sure that the needs of today’s society are met, and future generations can enjoy a prosperous and safe world.
How can educators be more proactive in creating a sustainable space for their students to thrive?
One way to be more proactive in creating a sustainable space for students to thrive is by working with them as partners. You can work together to create a culture where they feel like they have ownership of their education and the school community. You can also help them build their own futures by providing resources and support.
So, one of the first steps is to make students aware of their capability and the power they have. Secondly, as an educator, it is in your hands to invite your students to help create the space they need. Only with their ideas and empowerment a sustainable space that benefits them can be created. It has to be a project that you make together with your students. Discuss their needs, their expectations, and how these can be brought to reality.
What, according to you, is the best way to help the youth of today become community builders for the future?
To help the youth of today become community builders for the future, we need to understand and learn more about them. It can be difficult not only to know everything there is about the youth of today but also to be able to offer accurate information on their behalf so they can make informed decisions themselves – which is why learning more about them is so important. By taking this approach, people will be able not only to learn about current trends but also to have plenty of resources to support youths.
This can be done through a variety of means, from providing resources to building relationships with organizations that share your values. You don’t have to be an expert on youth development to understand how this can help; all you need is a little understanding and some willingness to support. With the right approach, anyone can help change the course of history—and make a difference in the lives of today’s young people. The youth of today are the future of tomorrow.

Do you think that there is something that the school system lacks today? If yes, what are they and how can they be implemented?
Schools of today often teach the things from yesterday and not the tools that children need for their future. One of the main aspects that should be changed is the curriculum and how the school system works.
The world changed a lot in the last few years, but the subjects and how they are taught haven’t changed. It is necessary to transform schools into a place that allows students and teachers to work together on the knowledge of the past but also the challenges of the future. Students should have a good knowledge of history, math, and so on, but should also learn the skills of life.
Another thing is that teachers find themselves at a disadvantage when it comes to technology. This is because students are more advanced than most teachers, and many educators are not as familiar with the latest tools and technologies.
With the world becoming more digital every minute, it is important to know how to use the tools the best way. At the same time, students should be able to deepen their skills that can’t be replaced by technology.
Achieving that is difficult but it can be done. It needs the forces of all generations willing to enhance and better the system. Collaborations between generations and professions will make a better school system possible.
What is something that older people can learn from the GenXYZ community?
There are many things that older people can learn from the GenXYZ community. There is now an abundance of progress in our world which seemed impossible 50-60 years ago. The GenXYZ has access to knowledge that most people don’t have, and older people can take advantage of that. There are a lot of things that GenXYZ can learn from the older generation as well! It is always an exchange of thoughts, ideas, and habits.
GenXYZ is a Master of Technology. This might be one of the main aspects that older people can learn from them, as technology brings a lot of efficiency into the world. From getting information to using apps for financial management and so on.

The aim was to bring together thought leaders using their expertise and authentic opinions to discuss and debate on critical and timely topic. A format in which experts, interested parties and opinionated personalities discuss the most exciting topics in business and professional life openly, honestly and respectfully.

As a teacher and speaker, how has your experience been working with the education industry? Can you share one of your most interesting experiences?
I have worked in the education industry for many years. I have had a variety of roles, from teaching assistant to the administrator. My experience has taught me how to manage different types of students, work with teachers, and be an effective leader. Overall, my experience with education and being a speaker has been positive. I have met many amazing people and worked with some great organizations. It has given me a lot of valuable skills and knowledge.
I think as I work with different people every day, I can’t pick out one experience, because every exchange, project, and discussion is unique on its own. The amazing thing is that I can continuously widen my horizon by learning something new, seeing what is possible and how the world and people can change.
What is your take on the way the educational system is moving? Do you think that the advancements in technology are the future of education?
I believe that the advancements in technology are the future of education, but I also think that there are still a lot of things that need to be done to make sure that they are sustainable. For example, I believe that students should be able to learn at their own pace and on their own terms. I also think that the way the educational system is moving is a bit overdue. I think it should be moved from being a teacher-led system to one where students are able to learn on their own and from each other.
As technology helps us in nearly all sectors, I believe that it plays an important role in education as well. The only thing that we have to understand is that we need to change and adapt the educational system so technology actually becomes an advancement for everybody.
Tell us about the sustainable practices we can readily adopt right now. What are some simple ways to be sustainable?
There are many ways to be sustainable, but some of the most common practices include using recycled materials, reducing energy consumption, and investing in green infrastructure.
In order to sustain your life, you must make a start by taking action to sustain your environment. This means developing and implementing sustainable practices in all aspects of your life, from your home to your workplace. Additionally, it’s important to take care of yourself and your family by building healthy and affordable food, including exercising regularly and enjoying natural resources sustainably. To be sustainable, you also need to work towards creating a more sustainable future for our planet – making sure that we continue to produce as many goods and services as possible without compromising the health of our planet or its people.
Who inspires you the most and why?
There are a lot of historically important people who shaped the education that we have today. I always feel inspired by Stephen Hawking. Known as the Einstein of the 21. Century, he always keeps on discovering new things. He is passionate about what he does and has a very inspiring mindset. Once he said: “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change”. And I am over and over again impressed about that quote because this is an important aspect of today and especially tomorrow. To create a sustainable future, we have to adapt to a lot of changes, but it also gives us a lot of opportunities to create something amazing.
What would you like to share with the youth of today?
I believe that the youth have more opportunities than ever before. They just have to find ways and strategies to use them for their benefit. Technology is just one aspect of that. But another thing is that we live in a society that allows us to connect with all kinds of professions, generations, and individuals. With that, we have a huge circle of knowledge and skills that can change the world.
Even though young people might often hear that they are “just kids”, they are the ones who bring the change because they and their children are the future and the tomorrow.
Important is, that young people take courage and energy to connect with others, believe in themselves, and take action toward their goals.
