On the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day 2021, designated by the United Nation, a virtual experiential marketing event was conducted to raise awareness about the role of sustainable development and creativity. This was planned and executed by the students of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, a Delhi-based media College.

This unique event propagated the importance of creativity and innovation through a series of compilations of art, photography and films, created and curated by the students themselves. Various testimonials by pioneers in the field of creativity were broadcasted. Prof. Ankuran Dutta, Head of the Department of Communication and Journalism, University of Guwahati talked about a creative campaign he had undertaken against fake news, Prof Pijush Dutta, Program Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi talked about The Black Book, Mr. Argha Ganguly, Assistant Curator of Modern Art presented his take on creative expression.

Lastly, Ms. Madhumita Deb, Senior Vice President of Contract Advertising beautifully summed up the day by saying, “Creativity is bold, it is brave and it is about doing things that have never been done before.” The students Trisrota Datta, Debadrita Bhowmik and Shreya Hazra hosted the event with the batch of 2020-21 and young viewers from across the country to initiated conversation around sustainable creativity in the world of fashion, art, photography and literature. The audience gave their perspectives about the kind of sustainable creativity that according to them is very likely to fuel the future world of communication.
