Since the onset of the current pandemic, Whistling Woods International (WWI), Asia’ premier film, communication & creative arts institute, has continously worked towards the complete safety and well-being of its staff, faculty and students. As a step towards this goal and a gesture of gratitude to the WWI staff members and faculty, the vaccine was fully subsidised for them by the institute.

Conducted in association with KokilabenDhirubhai Ambani Hospital, the vaccination drive was organised for all the staff, faculty, students and their dependants of the institute and its holding company, Mukta Arts Ltd at the WWI campus situated in Filmcity Complex, Mumbai. The vaccination drive was also extended to accommodate the employees of all the external agencies, who extend their service to the institute. The purpose of this vaccination drive is to ensure every member and their depandants of the WWI & Mukta family are vaccinated at the earliest.

“At WWI and Mukta Arts, employee & student-centricity is one of the core organisational values. Our staff, faculty members, students, and the extended teams of business partners have always been the backbone of the institute. Their safety and well-being are of utmost priority to us, as an organisation”, said Meghna Ghai Puri, President, WWI. She further added “Understanding the grave impact of the ongoing pandemic, we as an organisation are collectively working towards ensuring maximum protection to all the members of the WWI & Mukta Arts family.”

While following all mandatory precautions and guidelines laid by the government, WWI continued online sessions to not just ensure everyone’ safely but also to ensure the curriculum stayed uninterrupted. Also, throughout the pandemic, the institute has been regularly conducting free testing and diagnosis for all its students, staff or faculty visiting the campus, as and when needed. Also, to cope with the stress of lockdown and for the mental well-being of its staff, faculty and students, WWI has conducted several sessions on mental health awareness and assigned a dedicated team of counsellors to connect with.

In this battle against the pandemic, Whistling Woods International has been extending support for various COVID-19 relief work by working closely with various non-governmental organisations (NGOs), hospitals, frontline, and relief workers. Additionally, the students at WWI School of Fashion launched a campaign, ‘A Stitch In Time’ to support the tailors and karigars during these unprecedented times.
