The importance of a robust immune system has been sharply highlighted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, the vital thing to remember is that immunity is not built overnight. A strong foundation needs to be laid early on in childhood, to develop an immune system that can better support the body against toxins and pathogens. With this thought in mind, VIBGYOR Group of Schools hosted a virtual session for all 14 Bengaluru schools, with sports nutritionist Ramisa Punjani, on the occasion of World Milk Day.

During the hour-long session, Punjani discussed the different varieties of milk and milk products such as yogurt and cheese, the nutritional benefits of each, and how they help boost immunity and build an early foundation for good health. She also fielded queries from parents and students about dietary choices and common myths related to dairy products. Over 500 students, in the age group of 3-12 years, and parents, from the schools participated in the webinar.
