The month of July witnessed around 130 eminent HR professionals, arriving at the picturesque location of Universal Business School, Karjat campus. During their 3 days stay at the campus, they actively participated in the dissemination of knowledge amongst our meritorious students. They were instrumental in facilitating learning and sharing out-of-box ideas with the learners. Their trip was full of fun and frolic.

Universal Business School extended wonderful hospitality to the well-respected HR professionals during their stay at the campus from 1st July to 3rd July. The Senior level HR professionals from some of the leading organizations i.e. TCS, Zensar Technologies, Rolta, Reliance, Eveready, Caterpillar, L&T, Wipro, IBM, etc came together for sharing their insightful experiences as well as having fun while learning through management games.

The event commenced on 2nd July with an introductory speech by the Honourable Chairman of Universal Business School, Mr. Tarun Singh Anand wherein he shared his profound views regarding the challenges that could be converted into positive advancement. He had also thrown light on the vision and mission 2.0 of Universal Business School while sharing the growth trajectory of UBS over last few years. He had also shown a lot of optimism regarding the exponential growth of UBS in the next couple of years since it is aligning itself with the emerging global trends in the domain of management education. Mr. Anand was of the viewpoint that their vision and futuristic approach have helped the institution to metamorphose itself into an institution of repute and choice for most aspiring future managers.

UBS has recently been leveraging its focus on Industry-Academia collaboration and has brought forth many areas that are bound to build a long-term and collaborative relationship with the Industry through MDPs, Industry Research, Executive MBA programs, Case Writing, Consulting, Collaborative Multidisciplinary Approach Towards Problem Solving(CMAP), etc. These initiatives were shared with the HR professionals.

An enlightening session conducted by Brig GPS Cheema on the topic of self-realization awakened the conglomeration of HR Professionals wherein he sensitized the group of professionals on the underlying benefits of stress management as well as the joy of benevolence and compassion.

Post lunch the CHRO of UBS Prof. Nilanka Chatterjee sensitized the HR on the topic ‘Transaction to Transformation’.

Later a session with the Management Games focusing on teamwork and the importance of communication between and across the teams was conducted which was very well accepted and appreciated by the participants.

The evening was rounded off with a Musical Night with everyone letting their hair down to enjoy the music and participate in the singing too.

The next day saw all the participants heading for a trek led by Chairman Tarun Anand on the hills that surround the UBS Campus. The recent rains and the multiple waterfalls on the hills made the trek more enjoyable and an exhilarating experience.

The entire program concluded on the 3rd afternoon with all these professionals returning fully rejuvenated and invigorated to take up their roles in the organizations they work for.
