The Ambassador of Denmark to India, Honorable Freddy Svane visited the Bulandshahr campus of VidyaGyan Leadership Academy yesterday. An initiative of the Shiv Nadar Foundation, VidyaGyan, was established to nurture potential high achievers from economically underprivileged families of rural Uttar Pradesh and provide them with a platform to excel in whatever field they chose. Currently, there are close to 1500 students studying at the two campuses of VidyaGyan, located in Bulandshahr and Sitapur.
While addressing the students, Honorable Freddy Svane, the Ambassador of Denmark to India stated, “Creating a strong educational environment has always been a priority for Denmark because it is the very foundation on which successful societies are built. Denmark in fact has the third-best educational system in the world and from what I see here at VidyaGyan, I believe that India is on the right path. The infrastructure and facilities available here are comparable to any school, globally. I urge the students to make the best use of the opportunities that have been made available to them and strive to become valuable contributors to the Indian economy in the future.”
Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Executive Director & CEO of HCL Enterprise and Chairperson of VidyaGyan was present at the event along with other leaders from Shiv Nadar Foundation.
Speaking at the event, Roshni Nadar Malhotra said, “India has a lot to learn from Denmark when it comes to educational excellence and our students are lucky to have the opportunity to interact with the Honorable Ambassador. I strongly believe that leaders inspire leaders and therefore, we strive to expose our students to the lives and ideas of prominent and successful role models. I am grateful to the Honorable Ambassador for visiting VidyaGyan and interacting with our students.”
