India is going to celebrate its 75th Independence Day this year, and with the little ones stuck in their homes for yet another year the schools have made sure patriotic fervor remains intact. Most schools plan to celebrate it online, but few of them with relaxations being proposed by the authorities plan to call their students for a physical event in limited numbers. This does not thwart the enthusiasm of students for celebrating.
DPS RNE, Ghaziabad organized an Intra-Class Tri-Color Tearing and Pasting Competition for Classes Nursery and Prep students, wherein students showcase their talent, by celebrating the colours of freedom and making beautiful tricolour balloons and kites. This activity based competition was organised to develop creativity, strength, endurance, and enhance motor skills in them. The young ones were proud and excited to represent their zeal for the day via multiple colors presentation.
Their patriotic fervour could be felt when the students took part in this activity. DPS Indirapuram organized a plethora of activities which were symbolic of the values that tricolor represents, students also came dressed as freedom fighters and recited a few lines for their freedom struggle heroes. Teachers highlighted all the National symbols, National bird, national animal etc during ‘Independence Day … National bird handprint activity’. In this activity, children made imprints with their palms using the tri colors of our National flag, they were indeed delighted to see the outcome being The Peacock our national bird, and they proudly displayed their work in the class. The day culminated with children, teachers and parents reciting the National Anthem and cheered ‘Jai Hind’ in unison.
In the special online assembly of DPS Indirapuram, celebrations commenced with a poignant tribute to the motherland by honoring the martyrs who sacrificed their lives selflessly for their country. The school principal, Mrs. Sangeeta Hajela in her address urged the students to honor their nation and strive to take it to greater heights in every field. A melodious symphony orchestra by the students of the school set the ambience for the celebrations and stirred the patriotic fervour. A short play, Kalaam Saab , Salaam, by the middle school students was a befitting tribute to our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
