CUBO has launched a stunning line up for its Summer Conference 2020 – to be held at Queens University Belfast on the 10 – 12th June 2020.

This year’s theme is IMPACT and CUBO is looking forward to welcoming the senior management and heads of university campus and commercial services to the two-day event that promises to deliver outstanding networking, stimulating conference content, an exhibition of key products and suppliers to the sector, plus an unforgettable experience of Belfast!

Jan Capper, CUBO’s CEO comments: “Our Summer Conference provides an excellent opportunity for heads of campus and commercial services to share best practice, hear from keynote speakers and network with colleagues and corporate partners.

“Over the course of the 2-days we have planned a full and interesting programme of relevant workshops, panel debates and guest speakers to deliver stimulating and thought-provoking content in line with the challenges CUBO members face in this ever-changing sector.  Our aim can be summarised as; ‘Connecting and Developing Leaders to Deliver’.

“Among the Keynote speakers lined up to help deliver our leading conference programme are Newsnight’s Political Editor, Nick Watt and ultra-athlete and mental health campaigner, Hannah Shields, delivering a speech entitled ‘Limit exists only in our minds’.

“It’s a great opportunity to come together for knowledge-sharing, professional development, to meet suppliers old and new and get to see some new business solutions on offer, plus have the opportunity to see the top-class facilities at Queen’s University Belfast, ranked amongst the best in the World.”

This year sees a change in the format of the Conference. The main programme starts at 11am on Wednesday 10th June, followed by a fun evening out in Belfast including an open top bus tour and dinner.  However, this year there is the opportunity to join us the night before for dinner and start networking early!

In addition, on the last morning, Friday 12th, attendees can take a tour of the Queen’s University site, which includes a talk from the Curator of Art about their portrait collection, all before heading off home.

The CUBO Summer Conference is also the setting for the Annual CUBO Awards, which will take place on the Thursday evening. A prestigious, industry-wide event, open to all universities, it recognises, showcases and rewards excellence and innovation across university service areas. A glittering event with a pre-dinner cocktail reception included.
