Pearl Academy, Jaipur celebrated Jaipur Design Carnival, hosted the third edition in the pink city, to honour the city’s tradition of art and culture. The festival saw a brilliant showcase of innovative ideas, interesting opinions, and creative expressions by uniting various fraternities of design, art, and culture that have always defined the changemakers of Pearl Academy.

The Jaipur Design Carnival offered a well-balanced combination of entertaining diversions, educational discussions, and hands-on workshops. Student work was on display all throughout campus. The carnival effectively involved numerous intellectuals, creative aspirants, and young talents creating an electrifying interactive atmosphere. The interactive sessions saw a deep exchange of creative thinking between young brains and famous figures. The festival featured an exceptional showcase of some innovative projects of young designers from Pearl Academy’s School of Design as well as the School of Fashion, Styling, and Textiles. The students presented an exquisite design parade, walk-throughs, design showcasing and live presentations of design-led business ideas along with theatrical performances. The carnival also witnessed interesting workshops on communication, textile, and jewellery design.

Commenting on the occasion, Abhishek Sharma, Campus Director – Pearl Academy Jaipur said, “Seeing such a magnificent show of design and craft at the carnival was a happy moment. Such lively discussions and exchanges of ideas are important in promoting local art and craftsmanship and bringing it closer to our aspiring design students, who, we hope, will carry on the tradition through their work. We also believe that our newly established incubator program, Runway will help to enhance India’s Start-up Movement and encourage more entrepreneurs to jump on board.”

As part of the Jaipur Design Carnival, Pearl Academy also hosted a panel discussion on “Business of Design”, hosted by  Nikhil Kala, Founder, Urban Rationale & Asst. Professor, Pearl Academy, Jaipur with Nitin Jain, Founder & CEO, Indibni, Rabia Singh, Co-founder, October Jaipur, Durgesh Khatri, Designer & Founder at Milav Design., Khushboo Jogani founder Raw High, Asst. Professor, School of Design, Pearl Academy, Jaipur.
