IMS Noida inaugurated a center of women empowerment for skill development in association with Marico & ICT for training girls’ students of IMS Campus. The Centre aims to empower the girl students of the institution with employability skills. The Centre of Excellence will train 80 girl students on employability skills, provide certification, and facilitate placements for certified students. The event was graced by B. Raghava Srinivasan, Head – Corporate & Government Initiatives in ICT academy (Delhi), Kamlesh Kumar Singh- State head ICT Academy and Dr. Kulneet Suri Senior Director of IMS Noida.

At the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Kulneet Suri said, “Educating, grooming, and empowering the youth is the need of the hour. We appreciate that Marico Centre for Women Empowerment by ICT Academy has taken this innovative initiative and has planned a holistic intervention. We hope that girl students would be trained as per the industry requirements which will be shaping bright futures.”

The objective of the program is to equip girls with vocational skills along with a focus on grooming, communication, and workplace etiquette. The program aims to help in empowering these girls with skills necessary for not only employment but necessary for life.

The Digital Women Economic Empowerment Initiative by Marico Limited was announced on World Youth Skills Day in July 2021, through collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as well as other implementing partners to digitally train more than 12,000 women and youth across the country via impactful up-skilling initiatives.
