Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Noida, recently conducted online induction for the batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). Around 100 plus Students excitedly attended the virtual induction programme that emphasised on the online mode of learning during the coming months. During the Programme Abhishek Ram Senior Manager corporate HR of Jubilant Food Works, Manoj Soni Strategic Leadership Management at INSEAD and Senior Director of IMS Noida Dr Kulneet Suri was present as the guest speaker.

IMS President Rajeev Gupta said “the institution would follow the UGC’s guidelines. “It will be a student induction programme. We will apprise them of the courses and give a virtual tour of the college. We will introduce the courses slowly. Our Learning Management System (LMS) enabled students to have full access to audio, video, chats, and other tools for appropriate use”.

While addressing the new batch Abhishek Ram Senior Manager corporate HR of Jubilant Food Works said “this is a time to learn and unlearn as the industry is being transformed. The students must learn how to handle pandemic situations and to function in sales, HR as well as finance in this scenario and suggested that the students should be prepared for the VUCA situation i.e. volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous situations. He recommended students to go an extra inch to be successful.”

The world has already witnessed a massive transition to virtual learning due to the lockdown. Institutes are now resorting to the online route to conduct assessment, placements and admission of students. Students are also welcomed via virtual induction programmes as college prepares for the new academic year Said Dr Kulneet Suri.
