Antaragni, the cultural festival of IIT Kanpur, is back with its 56th edition scheduled from April 8 to April 10, 2022. The annual cultural extravaganza will host a number of eminent artists, influential visionaries, and soulful personalities with lots of different programs scheduled for the attendees. Antaragni’21 goes with the ingenious theme ‘A Nouvelle Rhapsody,’ aiming at keeping the spark alive and the fire inside each one of us, raging.

Antaragni has been an embodiment of the cultural flair and creative exuberance to celebrate the artistic spirit within each one of us. It is hailed as a fiesta of love, light and life imbued with the cacophonies of ethereal joy and ecstasy, embracing a myriad of emotions. Over the years, Antaragni has expanded and evolved into one of the biggest cultural extravaganzas organized by students of an institute. The fest has experienced a breath-taking 130,000-strong footfall with more than 25,000,000 eyeballs. It has created a legacy of promoting excellence and prowess in talent and culture that has been continuing for over 55 years.

After going fully virtual for two years due to the pandemic, this year, the event will be held partly offline. As part of the opening ceremony on 8th April, Awanish Kumar Awasthi (Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Home Department) will be present as the chief guest.

A number of diverse events are scheduled this year as well. The India Inspired event would feature Nat Radhakrishnan, President/Global CIO, Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd., and V Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor, Govt. of India. The Alum Inspired event would feature talks with Neelkanth Mishra, MD, India Strategist, and Co-head, Equity Strategy, Asia Pacific; Dr. Mahesh Gupta, Founder & Chairman, Kent RO Ltd.; Hemant Jalan, Founder, Indigo Paints; and Pushkar Misra, CEO & President, HGS, Philippines. The Talent Fiesta event introduces talents across a diverse cultural setting as the name suggests and as part of the event, Antaragni’21 would host Sandeep Singh, Ajay Rawat and Jayant Joshi with their impressive and unique talents.

As part of the Wanderlust series, enchanting stories of people traveling across the globe along with tricks of the trade will be featured with interactive sessions with Brinda Sharma and Nivedith Gajapathy. Abhi and Niyu, Abhishek Kapoor, and Puneet Sira. The Classical Night will feature acclaimed dancer Debasmita Bhattacharya. Expanding the creative spectrum of Antaragni, a monumental lineup of international artists features Brendon Peel, Chango Spasiuk, Ekaterina Ermilkina, Himbaza Club, Hannah Korin and Harrah Kay, Lavinia Meijer, Maxi Pachecoy, and Yui Yui.

Popular EDM artist Ritviz will grace the EDM night, while the Bollywood night will witness the mesmerizing Sunidhi Chauhan. The three-day extravaganza would host a number of events and shows to celebrate diverse artistic genius.
