Garvit Mathur, a mechanical engineer from Ajmer and an alumnus of IIT Mandi, received an unconditional offer to join MSc in Robotics from the University of Bristol. The University of Bristol stands 58 on the world QS Ranking and it is among the top university for studying robotics. A fundraiser on Milaap to rasie funds for his educational expenses has received great support from the online donors who have so far helped him raise more than 4 lakhs. Over 100 donors from all over the world united on Milaap’s campaign page to support this cause.

Garvit Mathur was always interested in Robotics and was an active member of the robotics club in IIT Mandi. It is this hunger to learn Robotics that pushed him into pursuing a career in Robotics. Garvit, after researching about his options, soon realized that his knowledge from B.Tech alone won’t help him achieve his dreams and he realized the need to do a masters from a top college. Today he has an unconditional offer in hand to join the University of Bristol.

The offer was extended to Garvit based on his merit and language skills. However, there is a huge financial hurdle that Garvit has to cross to convert this offer. Gravit is from a middle-class Indian family that supported his passion even while facing multiple financial hurdles.  Even for Garvit’s coaching to crack the IIT JEE, one of the toughest exams in India, his family had supported him with their savings and additional work. In this case, the need is close to 40 lakhs. Garvit had taken up a job in the interim to save as much amount as he can to chase his dream. Today with all his savings, amount received as loans and his family’s savings Garvit was still falling short of funds. The fundraiser on Milaap is helping Garvit cover his deficit and also materialize his dream of becoming an expert Robotic Engineer.
