Gurucool, an ed-tech startup started in 2021 and having raised pre-seed funding in December, is gearing up for the launch of its first full-fledged app ‘Padhaai’, dubbed as India’s largest 100% free learning platform with LIVE online classes, courses, instant doubt resolution, unlimited study material, scholarships, short videos aka BITS and more. It seeks to provide quality educational resources to learners across the country, and facilitate equal career opportunities for students of all backgrounds.
This is one of the world’s few super apps for learning for K-12 (Class 6, Class 7, Class 8, Class 9, Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12), Competitive exams (IIT JEE, NEET, IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT, UPSC, Bank Exams, SSC Exams, Railway Exams, CLAT) and Skill India (Language, Coding, Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, Graphic Designing, Data Science, Management, Personal Development etc). With the perfect blend of engaging courses, personalised learning and smart and fun BITS, this Padhaai app has been designed to help students find purposeful community, study smart and thrive in the real world.
Speaking about the impact of Padhaai, Adil Jamil, Academic Lead at Gurucool, said, “Padhaai, in alignment with New Education Policy 2020 (NEP), is bridging gaps and levelling the playing field by digitising campuses like schools and colleges and democratising education for every student in India. Around 8000+ prominent schools, colleges and universities from all over India have already been enlisted on Padhaai along with their available digital content.”
Gurucool says that Padhaai is not just free but a ‘free forever’ learning app. The Delhi-based startup says that its ‘free forever’ proposal is going to bring disruption in the edtech industry.
“More than 287 million people, which is 37% of the global total, are illiterate in India. We want to change this with ‘Gurucool Padhaai’ by making fun, quality and hyperlocal learning available to every student in India,” said Adil Meraj, Founder & CEO of Gurucool.
