The Dr. C.V. Raman University (CVRU), which is a part of the renowned AISECT Group of Universities (AGU) and is situated in the Vaishali district of Bihar, has announced admissions to 2021 intake for its Undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and diploma programmes. Taking into account the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the University has taken the admission process for the year completely online.
All the facilities and services related to the admission process have been made available virtually, including online campus tours on the University’s YouTube channel and live chats with counselors. Students can submit the application form and deposit their fees online via enabled websites and portals. The University is also set to arrange career counseling sessions for prospective students along with online classes on soft skills, communication and personality development absolutely free of cost.
Highlighting the vision of the University, Hon’ble Santosh Kumar Choubey, Visitor, CVRU Bihar, said, “The way Covid cases are surging again, we are not sure whether we will be able to return to physical classes anytime soon. Thus, keeping the current situation in mind, we have strengthened our online admission system and augmented the capacity to insure their academic schedule does not suffer. Also, the University aims to facilitate the process of skill enhancement, thus creating an immediate impact at the local level.”
Being the first Skills University in Bihar, CVRU offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses across 6 faculties that include – Engineering & Technology, Commerce &Management, Arts & Humanities, Science, Computer Science & IT, Agriculture and Yoga. PhD. in selected subjects is available through separate entrance tests. The University is recognized under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act and approved by AICTE New Delhi. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
In addition to going 100% online for the admission process, the University has also taken various measures to take teaching-learning and other operations entirely virtual. Besides that, an online library with over 65,000 e-learning resources has been made availableto aid the process of self-study. Online assignments, question banks and quizzes have also been made accessible for students to further upgrade their access. Online placement drives, career development webinars and personality development sessions are also being arranged for graduating students.
CVRU Bihar also focuses highly on fostering a research-based ecosystem and it has established two strong areas for meaningful research – Renewable Energy & Material Science and Chemistry & Earth Science. The University has 5 MoUs with international universities for research and education besides collaboration with several national laboratories.
